The Role of Head Bartender:
The Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a Head Bartender to join our team.
The Head Bartender is responsible for the creation and supervision ofthe consistency, quality and efficiency of our cocktailprogram.
The role also includes the ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
The main responsibilities include:
Execute the tasks of a server and/or bartender as needed.
Participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service.
Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beets, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees and supervisors to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits and ensure quality of all food or beverage items, ingredients, and preparation methods, in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience while following and maintaining all local, state, and federal laws relating to alcohol service and consumption.
The ability to work closely with the Bar Manager and outlet Chef to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Responsible for creative beverage creation and costing of the cocktail programObserve physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
Our Ideal Head Bartender will have:
Our ideal Head Bartenderwill havestrong leadership and communication skills and good problem-solving ability.
Ability to multi task anddetail oriented are also essential.
It is also needed minimum two years of experience in renown bars.
Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish.
